Supporting citation for public claim

Classical, late-antique, astrological, and modern writers used Great Year language with changing definitions and values.

The Great Year is best understood as a family of cycle concepts. It includes philosophical, astronomical, astrological, and esoteric meanings. Modern use often identifies it with precession, but older sources should not be forced into that meaning without evidence.

Limiting / critical citation for public claim

The Great Year was not one worldwide ancient doctrine equal to a 26,000-year precessional cycle and capable of predicting world ages.

The evidence does not automatically support broader causal, technological, transmission, or literalizing claims beyond the cited record.
