Ancient Catastrophes
Ancient catastrophes are real. Ice-age megafloods, rapid sea-level rise, volcanic eruptions, tsunamis, droughts, earthquakes, and impacts have all affected human landscapes. The strongest evidence is geological and archaeological: sediment layers, tephra, flood deposits, tsunami sands, tree rings, ice cores, radiocarbon sequences, settlement breaks, and damage layers. The weak version of the story is the leap from “catastrophes happened” to “one global reset erased an advanced civilization and all official history hides it.” The evidence supports many regional disasters and some broad climate shifts, but it does not currently support a single synchronized global civilization reset.

Overview
Ancient catastrophes are real. Ice-age megafloods, rapid sea-level rise, volcanic eruptions, tsunamis, droughts, earthquakes, and impacts have all affected human landscapes. The strongest evidence is geological and archaeological: sediment layers, tephra, flood deposits, tsunami sands, tree rings, ice cores, radiocarbon sequences, settlement breaks, and damage layers. The weak version of the story is the leap from “catastrophes happened” to “one global reset erased an advanced civilization and all official history hides it.” The evidence supports many regional disasters and some broad climate shifts, but it does not currently support a single synchronized global civilization reset.

A catastrophe is a high-impact event or process that changes a landscape or society faster than ordinary background conditions. In geology, catastrophes are not automatically fringe.
